Soy is Sustainable

Our soy candles burn clean producing minimal to no soot. Which means no black marks on paint or walls.
Paraffin Wax can contain harmful toxins.
Most candles are made from paraffin wax which is produced in a non-sustainable way, as a by product of petroleum. When paraffin wax is burnt it can release harmful toxins including toluene, which is a mono-substituted benzene derivative. Studies have categorized it as carcinogenic and as these tiny hydrocarbons are released during burning, they can be harmful to your family through continued inhalation over time. The soot released from paraffin is the same as from a diesel engine and from second hand smoke. Paraffin is widely used because it is cheap, however, there is always a cost involved. That cost falls on your health and the environment, but it needn’t be.
Fragrances
Most cheap candles are produced using synthetically created fragrance oils containing phthalates, a cheap way of bonding the wax with the fragrance. Worth noting that Phtalates such as DEHP have been banned in the use of toys in europe. Needless to say, we believe they have no place being in candles. The National Toxicology Program (NTP) says that DEHP “is reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen.” (Canadian Cancer Society)
Our fragrances are all created without the use of Phthalates. Which means you can rest assured knowing that you are creating a safely scented environment.
Wicks
Although the inclusion of lead/zinc in the production of wicks has been banned it is still possible that consumers are unknowingly buying products contains lead.
Our wicks are 100% cotton/paper based to ensure a safe and clean burn.
